Wish I knew mate.
Ive got Skeetex rubber wellies and you can destroy the liners in a few trips if you have to walk far, feels like you've got jelly inside them. Wellies far too cold, chest waders far too hot, you need something that will stay waterproof rather than it seeping through in a few hours so waterproof walking boots don't do. God I'm depressed now, better not go fishing and stay at home. Only joking, I bought (at great expense) some Aigle neoprene lined wellies yesterday, I'll see how they go. Phil |

Skeetex wellies are really good, you don`t need thick socks to keep your feet warm, but as Phil says they are not the best boots for walking in.( you can buy replacement liners).
If you`re looking for lighter boots, Chub field boots are also excellent, they`ve got rubber on the lower part of the boot so you can stand in a couple of inches of water without your feet getting wet and really good for walking in. |

Titanium Ice Dragon boots from Teme-Severn, see here, got mine last autumn and kept my feet dry and snug all winter with only one pair of socks on, great for walking the muddy fields, would recommend to anyone.

Just bought some of the Wychwood Rogue boots. Easy to walk in, insulated with thinsulate, easy to clean mud off etc.
Early days yet, so wouldnt be prepared to recommend them yet, but at £29.95, they seem okay. Wurzel http://www.barbelzone.co.uk/

I've had a pair of neoprene Muckboots for the past year and can't fault them - 100% waterproof, and warm with a single pair of thick socks (and comfy to walk any distance in)..
I previously had a bad experience with a pair of Wychwood `Lunker' boots (the worst £50 i've ever spent!), but the Muckboots are a hundred times better! The only thing i'd change is the realtree pattern - it might suit the SAS but I feel like a bit of a prat! Declan |

Declan,
Which ones have you got. Was looking at Mudrucker boots on eBay. Some of these "Yard boots" have a flat sole...do these give good grip on muddy banks...??? |

Robert,
The ones i've got are the `Muckboot Avon'; www.wellie-web.co.uk/wa/1...-Avon.html The grip is great - you could walk from the Shopping-City straight up Halton Hill to `The Castle' for a pint with these in wet weather! (I saw from your profile you were from Runcorn - I couldn't resist that!).. Declan |

These are the boots i've been wanting for a few seasons, just never seem to get round to getting them. They look perfect, waterproof right up to the knee and with the comfort of a hiking boot. Also with the full length zip they will be easy to put on and off.
I will get some soon.

Anangler glad to see your around again,i've missed you.Your giving clue's away to your age there with the "local dance" thing though so be careful or more people will suss out who you really are
Oh and by the way i'm glad you where looking at people's boots when you where at the "local dance" in brighton. Did you wear your denim shorts and leather chaps? YMCA Davhall As far as i know they're not in the uk,not until my pair arrive anyway. You can find them on the cabelas website $149 i think. They have some unbelievable stuff on that site and its top quality.I bought some gear from them around 5 years ago and its still better quality than the stuff we have over here even now. If you think thy're the daddy of all boots you should see the ones i got from there last winter.Cold feet are a thing of the past. ![]() Look ridiculous but are brilliant and not too bad to walk in surprisingly. |
