This technology opens the doors for those of you knowledgeable anglers to pass on yours views tips about certain waters and techniques. Why should you do it for nothing? Good question, answer being, I don't know, some people are just nice and offer advice freely and seem to get pleasure out of just knowing they have helped someone have a great day. Scuba Steve, I look forward to watching the first of the Severn Flood water videos. Obviously I am not looking for specific swims, maybe future BFW FishIns or other local gatherings could be broadcast on the site for those not able to attend to watch and have a laugh.

It would be a "Fish Chasers"Olympics. On your marks,get set,go....................... No thanks.

I can see me moving to the @#%$ soon, personally I see it as I have X time to live and if I can help somone catch a fish I'll help them. I sometimes think too many people on here see themselves as pioneers, its a good job Columbus etc weren't Barbel anglers.

It has a no publicity ban.They are not pioneers,but people who like some peace and quite. Small rivers,people are more in need of peace and quiet.Joe bloggs and co,fish a small river.Then before you know it,bang on Youtube,is your favourite stretch. Next week,stellar heads,noise, dogs,air rifles with people shooting the wild life.just to catch fish.I have seen all the above. I shudder at the thought.Of YouTube. Long may "cliques" and silence reign. I think I may take up my Trent invite this weekend. Mr,Woods. Good fishing to you

I couldn't see what anyone would be @#%$ off about. On clicking the last two pics, the unpleasant nature of the virus threats seem to be totally uncalled for. If you don't want anyone to view the stuff, then why post it in the first place? If any of our PC's have been screwed up by this childishness, then I hope the purportrators are duly prosecuted, or better still, have their fu**ing heads kicked in. This is either some kind of humour that I'm not quite getting (very possible) or some one is sinking to a low unprecedented on this site. I hope the former is true and I'm just being a Putz, but if not I hope plenty of people are lacing up the old DM's!

On clicking the last but one pic, it revealed the message "you have just screwed up your C drive" or words to that effect, the next link revealerd something like "you're really screwed now". I'm not about to risk opening the links again to check the exact wording, but I think someone may have hacked into and corrupted the original post. So, if my first reply seems unneccessarily vitriolic, I apologise. Then again computor viruses are a real pain in the arse . Fingers crossed.

There are loads of spoof error messages about, some of which are very funny (ie non-threatening language) but I can see why these might worry some.

Posts: 1347 (27/10/06 07:29) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	im no pc pro,but the links iN mention,are not funny at all,i have had my old dell,3000,conpleately riuned by a hacker,who did the same so called prank,the site was called golden fairways fx golf,the hacker was called SOUL X,the site had to close down soon after his viset,because of peaple un subscribed there acounts,im curently running 3 anti virus sucurity programs,and my zone alarm,firewall,gave a warning this morning when i terned my pc on,and something called exacute ,,something or another tried to enter my pc,it was deneyed ofcource.i never had that warning before.

You guys in question have obviously clicked on the fishing pages and then on pictures of Gray Dicko and Mike Wiles and seen following pictures. I can only say I am very sorry about this I tottaly forgot they were there I put them up when I first did site while waiting for gray and mike to send me a write up of their fishing history they were put up as a joke (In bad taste I admit) They aint sent me their history and it just got overlooked very sorry to anyone whom it may of offernded and will be removed today. I never saw the two offending messages in the fishing section so I couldn't figure out why the negative response. Not sure if anyone wants to continue with the thread now that we know there is no threat. It seems a simple and easy way to get some information across on the site and I am sure that Andy and Claire could use it in the shop section, for eg Show Bob Making the rods and finished product in action. Scuba can advertise his caravan and placs to visit, his feeders etc. You see, it can be very productive, I am sure that is why Google payed so much for YourTube because of its advertising potential not the video/music side of it. Best of wishes to those I upset but I ment well. P.S. Mr Purist and Steve you have mail.

Anyway I have to admit I wouldn't be to keen on venues and the like being filmed, I agree with much of whats been said there. Although using it for filmed instructionals like casting, tying rigs etc etc could be a really helpfull idea! All the best, and good luck with the site. P.s nice little dogs

Consequentley when somthing like that appears I would'nt know that hackers would'nt use words like that. So what I would respectfully ask is, please think about the effect those kind of thing's may have on the less computer literate amongst us. "End Of Moan".
