Wakas are still alive and well and are of course available direct from the bait maestro himself Mr Roadknight.
PM Chris Ponsford or myself and all can be sorted |

I got a bit confused with this last time Waka availability was discussed. One or two people on here were offering to take orders via e-mail/PM, yet all along the Teme Severn website was available (complete with online shop), when this could have been communicated. Am I missing something?

The famous Wakas are produced by Chris Roadknight of Spa Baits,Droitwitch,tel no ,07752920661.
They are also distributed by Teme -Severn ,who also do some excellent pellets and other excellent Boilies supplied by Chris. As the person that brought them to the attention of Claire and Andy at BFW,we have been really pleased at the success the bait has brought to so many anglers,as 9 out of 10 Barbel when questioned,said that they preferred them to other boilies. Hi all,
This is a very good all round bait, and whilst a little on the expensive side does do the job. The bait has produced some fantastic results over the past two season with Barbel to 17lb 3oz and Carp to 41lb 3oz (my nephew). You do not need to use the bait in great numbers (free offerings), they can easily be broken down to produce a sent trail to attract the fish, used in conjunction with a PVA bag and so keep the cost down. I must add before I get shot at, that I do not work for either the Pons, or Chris Roadknight. I do use this bait in all of my fishing and I am happy to promote the bait for them as it is very good and for me, very productive. Give it a go, many baits are about confidence and you should be quite surprised in its results. Good luck, Paul |

Re: Wakas | ||

Albert,
You could buy Dynamite baits shelf life boilies @ £8.99 per kilo, (dont forget your dips), or you could buy nice freshly frozen wakas, (no dips required) @ £9.00 per Kilo. It's a 'no brainer' for me mate. Ok I don't pay delivery as I know the Teme Severn lads and usually collect my bait in person. You mentioned elips pellets, does your local tackle shop sell elips or do you buy them mail order? You could always get together with a few mates and put a bulk order in and share the delivery charge, or perhaps treat yourself to a day on the Wye and arrange to collect a bait order in person. I'm not sure where you live Albert but if Chris was in your area I'm sure he would drop some off for you if he was passing. |

Re: Wakas | ||

having had a look at some when the pons came down for a bit of fen drain carping last week, i would certainly be happy to use them, in fact chris even managed a run on them on his first night, though the story goes downhill very quickly from there!!!!

Ah the dropping penny;
I exchanged emails with Pons a few weeks back and he mentioned "Wakas" piled up in his garage and I didn't have the foggiest what he was on about! Regards, Lee. |
