I like my Cormorans, but always look like Joe90, so been on the lookout for some 'fashionable' ones, rather than the shimano/fox/diawa wraparounds.

Polarised glasses in Next |

After crushing two pairs of sunglasses during drunken cricket games and falling over, I found meself in Next looking for some new ones, and they had quite a good selection of polarised glasses, from about £13. Time will tell if they are actually any good for fishing, but they did have grey/amber/blue (?interesting) lenses. Initial views of strengthened glass are pretty good!

Andy, Oakley do a huge range of polarized glasses. They're not cheap though!

Maui Jim......There are no better polarized sunglasses. Next time you are in an airport give them a try in the Sunglass Hut. They usually have a test that shows up how good polarizing glasses are. Not the cheapest, but like Stella...reassuringly expensive !!

I asked about this in an opticians and they assured me that there should be no difference in effectiveness between polarising lenses of any price. All you are paying for is the styling and the quality of the frames. I always use twenty quid ones from Boots, and I can't tell the difference between those and any of the "posh" ones I've tried.

Quote: Matt, now I am going to come out of the closet to tell you I am a bit of a sunglasses geek, who buys 3-4 pairs per year of REVO's/Maui Jims/Prada's/Oakleys etc etc. Yes, I also love Revo's I have few pairs, they are I believe, the best quality lenses on the market for overall usage. However I still believe that maui Jims offer a better polorised lens. Gonna sign off now before I get to anorak status !!! |
