Have been looking into brollie systems for occasional overnighters. Think there were good reports on the JRC Stealth brolly from memory?? Was looking at the rolls royce models in the Trakker collection, namely 60" specimen system (similar price) or the creme de la creme, specimen pioneer ultralight. Anyone got any comments on the above??

I have the classic version which can now be picked up really cheaply, check the reviews for a look at the more expensive version, which can be upgraded to full bivvy. Did recently notice a new JRC product though, basically a shelter with the pram hood design. I think its called the Dave Lane Sti Brolly. Would be very interested if anybody had tried one out. I also know quite a few guys with the aqua brolly, they are ont he web somewhere... Andy

Get the evolution compact brolly, cos it folds away tiny.... and you dont have to wrestle it to the ground Jas. Both crackin brollies though

Posts: 1412 (26/07/05 09:19) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	A couple of mates have the Trakker or Aqua brolly's in either 50" or 60" and really really impressed with them (and want one). The 50" is just big enough to squeeze a bedchair underneath and is ideal for summer use. The 60" is pretty big and would be suitable for longer stays or harsher weather but it's a bit heavier and more cumbersome than the 50". The best thing about both is that you can put them up in 30 seconds or so if you leave a couple of storm sticks in place. (You'll need to undo the lower velcro attachemnt though.) ------------------------ www.delticmedia.co.uk

Posts: 4453 (26/07/05 09:26) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I have the "Aqua" 60in brolly and must admit for winter fishing it is great,really does make it snug when the wind is howling and the rain lashing it down,you can get a full size bed chair in and all your gear out of the rain!It is a bit on the heavy side but then I don't walk far. Ralphy has the "Trakker Z" with the zip in front and have been really impressed with it but the full system he has costs nearly £350. Now being able to assemble a brolly or shelter in 4 minutes instead of 30 seconds might not seem like much or difference, but I've been soaked a number of times on short sessions when I've either not bothered taking it (eg. when roving) or when a passing shower has got me because I couldn't be bothered to put the shelter up. What i should've mentioned was the criteria i was looking at. Require something that is lightweight, easy to erect and i prefer something with front and side infills for extreme weather. The Trakker pioneer looks to be on the heavy and expensive side. Best bet so far looks to be the JRC stealth there's a promotion at the mo at £99 and will fit into a quiver. The big Z looks massive and is pricey, is it very heavy? Always thought Trakker and Aqua are one and the same? Haven't found the Aqua branded stuff anywhere on the net, any ideas where i can find them?
