so give us a clue .. hooklinks long or short ? does a long hooklink spook more or less ?does the wafting around put them on gaurd ? or does a short hooklink spook them cause its close to the lead.

also ive read a bit about pining the hooklink down,putty etc or backleads....is this more of an open water approach when there's no natural cover... does the type of bait make a difference also.....many thanks ...andy

thanks for the reply ,have read the link....bit of a minefield ... ive watched them on the royaltythey seem well suspicious of the wavering hooklink, but one reply was of a person useing a really long one 6 ft plus !thought that would be worse..... i understand it keeps them from the feeder ...weight etc....andy
