Claire has given me permission to draw your attention to a barbel book which I have to sell and which will appear in the classified section tommorrow.
The book I have for sale is a very good condition First Edition copy of Understanding Barbel by Fred Crouch. I note John Smith's article on this site says he managed to find a VG First Edition for £85 and any copy would be worth £50-60. I also note that a 4th Edition copy is for sale on an angling book site mentioned in the article for £65!

I've read the book several times and it gives a very good insight into the behaviour of barbel. However, all the barbel I've caught have been on the float since I don't have a purpose made barbel rod for legering, so the sale of this book would enable me to buy such a rod!
