 Hi all -- The reason l have been offline for a few days is...l acccidently uninstalled my ISP..and l didnt know why till tonight.. Another thing..from 25th March l will be offline for sometime due to moving house on the 27th March..NTL wont connect me due to my new house being a new estate... So will be going to another server soon as l can.. Hope to get online ASAP...Cheers all... MOOKIE.. |

Hi Mook,
 Sorry to hear Ntl can't provide you with service. I strongly suggest you contact BT as soon as you can as they are usually allowed onto these new estates from the beginning. You may be able to get ADSL which isn't bad as long as the local copper network is in a good state. As long as there is enough interest for ADSL in your local exchange area, BT will go ahead and upgrade the exchange, if there isn't enough interest, you may have to register your interest for future upgrades( BT will only upgrade the exchange if there is enough interest in the product), it may also be an idea to see if your new neighbours are interested in the service and you could all register at the same time...this may be enough to get BT moving.  Hi Ian...Well BT are going to put a line in on 7th April for the phone...so we will have to change servers, looks like either btopenworld or tiscali at the moment... Cant see the reasoning why NTL wont connect me ?? seems daft to be honest...but cant do anything bout it.. Getting Skydigital as well...might as well get the whole hog... New carpets on Wednesday...grands worth....there being laid then.. Move in Saturday 9am.... All hell breaks loose at 10am.....  ...lots of stress making desisions ....Cheers...for the advice mate.. Good luck with all mate, seems to me you've got it under control. Sorry about Ntl.....because we're a cable company, we have certain restrictions imposed on us by various authorities and wayleave contracts....i don't fully understand that part of things as i only fix things. BT are allowed in nearly all new sites as they have the biggest network...so much for competition hey??  Your lucky to be able to have Sky fitted as they sometimes face restrictions as well, especially on Apartments and Flats etc. Hope you get a decent connection when finally up and running.....let us know how it all goes.
