I'm Andy. Some may recognise the name from other sites. I,m one of the dreaded Piking fraternity
I've been fishing for 20 years and I'm a Trouter/Piker most of the time but I,m trying to find my feet with other species. I'm getting there with the Roach. I already do well on the Perch front but I want a Barbel. I must have a Barbel.
I read about them regularly and frankly, they look the mutts nuts. Anything that size that lives in fast water and eats spam, sausage, pepperami, Mars bars etc
I live in Glasgow and I hear there are some nice Barbel to be had from the Clyde. I have been told the areas round Wishaw and Netherton are the places to try but I thought you lot would know for sure.
I have a fair-ish idea of methods, baits and rigs etc. but any helpful advice would be greedily accepted. I,m not looking for secret rigs or wonderbaits. I just want a helping hand. If anyone can help I would be really grateful.
Tight Lines,
...Andy...
PS: I don't REALLY think Barbel eat Mars Bars
