Do you mean free as in literally 'for no cost', or do you mean day-ticket as opposed to stretches where you have to join a club or association?

Well, I'd been told there are free stretches.
But any non-club stretches are fine, Im not tight enough to even begrudge paying for a day ticket

Have fished BFW Fish-ins at Dinton Pastures which is day-ticket, but others know far more than I do about the Loddon.

Tis not my side of Reading but I believe the stretch behind (next to really) the cinema complex at Winnersh Triangle is free. (Least that's what I've been told - I don't doubt there'll be some wot correct me if I'm wrong
