Hi phil,
I think that the amber lense's gather the most light, for looking into water. Also they give you a sunnier outlook on everything. ......Liam |

hi phil i have tried most variations and found that the ideal setup is 3 sets grey, amber & high contrast yellow, this covers your every need but if had only one choice i would go for grey this colour is versatile enough to cope with most conditions, maybe not as much as other 2 on certain days but i have found grey to be the best alround of the 3.....j.w.

polaroids | ||
|
I read a review of the angling polaroids in AT recently, and they reckoned that the John Wilson `Amberjacks` were at least as good as some costing up to £40 more. Bearing in mind the chances of dropping them or stepping on them, I bought a pair, and find them an excellent help to vision even when the water is carrying a little colour. I thought the white lettering was a bit naff, so wiped it off with some thinners!

I too thought they sounded excellent and thought I might as well get grey and amber as they are so cheap. Trouble is they are a nightmare to get hold of. Tried many suppliers including the company that advertises Masterline products almost exclusively but no one has any. Apparently Masterline were due to supply them about a week ago but they've been put back another month (probably due to demand since the article that rated them so favourably). Anyone know where I can get some at the moment?

Rayo,
They may be best from your side of the lens but not from ours. On second thoughts they do cover up a lot of your face |
