Whilst I have a BAA licence this does not allow me to fish at night. Could anyone help me with details of stretches, of the Lower and Middle Severn, that I can fish at night - be they free or club waters. Many Thanks Rob

Posts: 811 Jan 9 02 4:47 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hi Rob I think you can night fish at Ironbridge on a day ticket or club book. Ask at the Tourist information office in Ironbridge. Also there's the Golf Club stretch at Highley which I also think allows night fishing. There's the free stretches either side of Bridgenorth bridge (500yds either side of bridge) and the playing fields upstream at Bridgenorth (also free) which I presume allow night fishing although I've never fished them. The free area Nick mentioned downstream of Bridgenorth bridge is very good, not sure about night fishing there, but I can point you at some pegs there that fish very well during the day. Regards Paul

Posts: 142 Jan 9 02 5:49 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Thanks Nick and Paul I normally fish around Arley, the town water there is also free but not as good as the BAA stretches ( although it has produced my only double to date! ). I've caught over 65 barbel this season fishing between June and October. Most of these have been on the Harbour Inn water. Whilst I have ventured out during the cold spells the fishing has been difficult and I have had to experience the inevitable 'blanks'. Due to a role change my wife now goes out to work and I have the 'easier' job of looking after our 4 young children ( It's great really ). Previously I was self employed for 15 years and could pick and choose when I wanted time off ( this would have been great for me now). Do you know of any waters further down the river i.e. Worcester/Tewkesbury way that can be fished during the night. It's frustrating when the bites start at dusk and you are forced to pack away ( I'm also an insomniac so night fishing would suit me better ) Many thanks again Rob

The Severn around Kempsey can be night fished and has a reputation for big fish. If you do a search of old threads you should find enough info. Graham

Fished at Eastham Bridge and walked downstream towards the rapids. Looks as though it could be a cracking river in the summer. I have spent some time looking at various stretches - Stanford Bridge and Cotheridge look interesting - am I on the right track and if so where are the decent pegs. Thanks for your help Rob

Favorite areas on the Teme would probably be Lindridge and Broadwas, if you're interested in this area drop me an e-mail so I have your address and I'll try to pinpoint some of the pegs we've had the most success from. Posts: 18 Jan 11 02 12:57 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Paul, I have fished a stretch at Montford Bridge (above Shrewsbury),tickets available at the pub situated at the end of the bridge,and they definetly do night tickets,there are some nice slow glides,deep holes and gravel bars over about 3/4 mile.Sorry can't remember the name of the pub.(easy to find though).Hope this is of some help.
