If you read my post and others I have made you will see I refer to top barbel anglers, I do not claim to be one. If you cannot see reason and validity in posts I have made then you are clearly not understanding them properly, my thermometer post being one such. I feel it is you being misled if you think that everyone views them the same way that you do. As for my bait comments being twaddle then you are of course welcome to your opinion and to your own methods. Others would lynch me for giving away secrets, I can live with it either way.
By mentioning my results from last winter I merely answered the question YOU raised regarding my winter barbel knowledge son - it was YOU that wanted to know if I knew anything about winter barbel (oh, to clarify things by winter I mean Dec, Jan, Feb not Oct, Nov & March too!). I am not bursting to tell you anything son but I have a genuine desire to help others catch barbel through the knowledge I have and to use the knowledge that others on this site have to help me improve my results - that is what this forum should be about.
I wish no animosity here on this site but you seem to be totally set against me simply because I prefer my anonymnity. Whilst the site operators and moderators allow this I shall retain it, when they choose for all posters to use their real names then I shall do so.
I state again that watching a thermometer can subconsiously affect the way you fish and as such may prevent you from fishing as confidently as you should when conditions are not what are deemed to be favourable. It is a statement open for debate but what on earth is wrong with the comment and why does it make me an inexperienced winter barbel angler?
