If you have a `scoop shop` or `food weighouse` nearby, where you weigh out your own stuff into plastic bags from big tubs, stock up on the shortcrust pastry mix (dry powder ).
It`s on offer @ 30p /lb at the moment, and makes up into a lovely smooth paste with cheese or ground up catbiscuits with a little water. You can also add a liquid flavour at this point.
If you get some of their banana milk shake powder this can be mixed in to give a good tench/roach paste, which has a civilised smell. haven`t tried it for barbel.
Anyone caught on the swale these last few days? Seems very slow.
