When ledger fishing I tend to use a hooklength of approx 24 to 30 inches,I occasionally reduce this to about a foot,in hope that when using a lighter bait ie casters, that it that it keeps the hookbait closer to the bottom, usually dependant on the flow.I would much appreciate any advice as to using a longer hooklength,I have considered going up to possibly 5 or 6 ft and was wondering what your views, or possible experiences of a long hooklegth might be.
Cheers for now
