Unlucky Larry, horrible when you lose a goodun.
Late change of venue last night so on the river for one Chub about 4.5 lbs. Roll on this weekends rain.

Really nice brace of chub, shame about your snagged fish Larry. Supposed to be wet this week, low pressure too, be interesting, if it happens!!!!

Backstream,a suberb brace of chub. You've got to be proud of that fellah.Larry at least you are confident that they are there. They know where the snags
are,and we necessarily don't.Davsurb,at least you're catchin'.Dry landing nets are boring.Well done all.
Tomorrows rain will be great if it lasts a week or so.But it won't,still the pressures low so you've got to give it a go. Pete |

You right decided a warm bed was a better thing this morning, lashing it down in RG, given it to clear from 3pm though so maybe a dabble this evening.

Nowhere near the amount of rain that was forecast, but Tuesday could top it up.
Gonna be fun with all the leaves and rubbish that has been blown in. |

Fished Sunday afternoon and was intending to fish late, started getting action at dusk, chub type knocks when the dreaded mobile call cut short my fun DOH,
note to self, buy the missus a new car!!, Had to try again last night, one chub about 4 !/2lb and a bream, plenty of roach knocks, and a couple of missed chub
bites, but no sign of barbel.
The river was definately showing a bit of colour, nice flow, not hard, but enough to warrant 4oz on a far bank feeder, no problems with leaves, they are mostly on the surface at the moment. At least the lower river is moving now, actually looking forward to my day off this week, might well be in with a decent shout of a fish, just a matter of location, and luck!!!!!!! peter |

As the pressure was nice and low and Moonstrike had ticked the box for yesterday's date,I ventured out on Dessie Island yesterday with a mate,4-10pm.Flow
was a touch more than non-existent,only light weights required at any range.Leaves not a real problem.Other than a few mitten gouge marks in the boilies, not a
touch until a bream decided to put in an appearance as we were packing up.No other anglers were evident, which underlines the state of fishing on the lower at
present.Think I'll persevere on the tidal for the time being, although that has it's own problems now that the Richmond half lock is undergoing its
annual maintenance.
If anyone's in tune with the rain gods........have a word please. Good luck tomorrow Peter, pressures still going to be low. Pete |

As if things aren,t hard enough, the night time temperatures are going to drop near zero over the weekend, oh joy. At least the weather is consistantly weird,
big low pressure system and a full moon, very unusual!!!!!!
Very few people seem to be fishing at the moment, don,t mind having large parts of the river to myself, but the downside is the lack of information from my usual grapevine, heard of a few fish, but mainly single fish caught from wide ranging spots, nothing to indicate any real budding hotspots, just have to keep trying until one makes a mistake! peter |

Yep the full moon and cold is strange with air pressure well down. Just checked now and it is 983 so in normal times it should be perfect. Done a few sessions
recently in my most reliable spots but only a handful of Bream and Chub. Was thinking about a final session tomorrow before work beckons again but given it is
November 5th, think I will pass as louds explosions all over the sky wont improve things.
