Garden Mole removal |

Anybody got any ideas how i can get rid of a Mole/Moles from my garden. I have looked on the net, but the only advice I can find is either to dig into the
tunnel and lay a trap or call in the professionals. I don't want to go digging the garden up if there is another way to chase them off, will call in the
pros if all else fails. Hope someone can help as they are now starting to do my head in

There are a few old tricks that may be worth a try before you trap or call a professional, many swear by sticking small windmills the type kids get from garden
centres in the molehills them selves, apparently the vibrations deter the moles. Another method is putting predator dung down the holes/runs this also works
well for nuisance cats. If your local to a zoo it may be worth whilst asking for some large cat faeces (sh1tty job but very effective) other than that and
depending on the legislation a silenced .410 shotgun at night, depending on where your nearest public road or path is.
Hope this helps Ali B |

I think I will skip the dung method
. Just been out and bought a couple
of the windmills, lets see how it goes from there. Strange thing is, my Mole/s dig in broad daylight.
Thanks for the tips. Rayo |

Windmills and those battery emitter things you can get from places like B&Q push them out to other areas, like neighbours, and they'll be back. Their
patrol routes are bigger than most barbels'. What you need are bodies, so its' traps you lay yourself in the runs, or professionals.
I lay traps, yet not a good strike rate, whilst my neighbour brings in the pro's, and after a few visits, the moles are gone for a year . best whatwife

Rayo - Happy to lend you a trap or two if you decide to go that way.

OR alternatively: -
We simply find the run open the highest end up and using a watering can pour in a strong mix of jeyes fluid and water (1 ; 20 ) With the mole having a highly developed sense of smell it tends to drive them away from there current location. To make sure they are going in the right direction we also water a band across the lawn or bed (using a diluted mix 1:40) to form a barrier against the mole moving in an undesired direction. Over about 10 days we continue this operation until the move has moved on (into a neighbouring garden/field etc) or at least into a less damaging area. Never give up - There's always tomorrow! |

Have you actually asked them to leave, honest, get a deckchair out one evening, take a couple of tinnies with you and have a little chat, it works for ants too

Thanks for the offer Rockie, but I don,t want to dig up the garden if poss.
As for talking to the little bleeders, mmm, the neighbour is already taking the mick seeing the windmills spinning around as it is, all he will need to have me certified is to catch me sitting out in the garden talking to ruddy Moles
Am thinking of sticking one or two firelighters down a couple of the holes, i shoudn't think they would be very happy with the stench of paraffin wafting through there tunnels

How about placing some holly down the hole to give it a poke on the nose ?
