What with the new season a month away, i always try and go for a differant type of bait and flavour apart from the standard meat/hemp or Pellet/groundbait.
This season i'm going to try Bloodworm boilies and wondered if anybody has used them and to what success. Last year i tried lamprey flavour with little
success.

Tried Bloodworm pellet without success, even got a bloodworm paste as a wrap but not even a nibble but only tried when conditions were less than favourable and
bites were hard to come by.No reason to why they wouldn't work and maybe to early to judge them.

I tried some for a couple of weeks - caught nothing on them - but then I caught nothing on anything
But they may work on the rivers you fish.

ask yourself if you believe some bait firm is spending time sieving
bloodworm from the silt then turning it into a boilie then when you realize its total b******s just use any bait with a fishmeal base, flavour pretty much
irrelevant but if it makes you feel confident choose a fishy one, put it in the right place at the right time and you will catch bloodworm boilies are simply a bait firm con imho

Some might actually be the real thing, just to far away for me to try.

The problem is - is if you don't try you won't know - I have been completely surprised and cleaned up when trying new baits - also had egg on my face

caught barbel on bloodworm pellets 6 or 8mm. have bloodworm paste, no success. have 10mm bloodworm boilies, no success yet but half have been soaking in maple
syrup for a year and the other half in some fish oil glug - eventually they will work I'm sure, but the pellets certainly did - though they weren't the
cheapy looking spod mix bloodworm sticks that dissolve quickly.
