i dont get breaks or cut offs using 18lb mainline
hell that would be some barbel to break that
i use a very very cheap line thats almost indestructible
that does the job admirably if there is rocks strewn on the bottom or if theres an abundance of mussel shells ect,
my hooklinks however i am very fussy with in as much as the fish find it acceptable, i could go on with this for page after page but i wont....j.w
