Unfortunately, a well built waterproof brolly is almost impossible to find. Having had one wrecked Dec 06 as in FAQ I have been looking since then. The Aqua Rover comes the closest, for me, but at £150 it would
need to be exactly what I want, and it's not.
There are lots of threads on BFW about brollies. Some recommend certain ones, others say they are no good. It's a nightmare paul4 |

Have heard the Korum one is supposed to be the nuts. I have a wavelock brolly still waterproof and going strong after more years than you would believe. Cost
me £60 at the time but obviously money well spent. My advice would be to get two or four storm rod caps and two 4 foot or 5 foot banksticks and two shorter one
for the back.

How big is the JRC? 50" or 60"? I have a 60" but it's a bit big for many river venues/swims paul4 |

which brolly? | ||

After losing my very good but heavy brolly last season I decided that I wasn't going to bother with one again. But, about a month or so ago I saw one
advertised in the Argos shop window for £14-99. I went in and decided to purchase it. It actually cost me £7-49, and is an absolute bargain. Of course I
wouldn't dream of using it in high winds, but no brolly is any good in high winds anyway.Perfick

I have the same Argos brolly, I used it in the storms of the last week of the season - in a slightly sheltered swim.
It has 4 rings on the spokes, 3 of which were used to secure the brolly - back and 2 sides - it survived the full frontal gusts ! |
