I know its short notice but anyone fancy pinting me in a rough direction where to have a go tonight on the LSAS Ticket.
Any help would be greatly apprieciated....(as to date i still aint even had a bite out the soar yet and am wondering if i am missing something!!!!!) |

Can anyone give me any info on the LSAS club and the waters, at the moment i just fish the LEVAS stretch.

 Hello all soar anglers!!!! Went last night to a section near cotes mill for about four hours into the dark and the river was looking lovely... It looked at its normal level and it was running at almost normal colour.....nice to see it doesn't have the same colour as hot chocolate.  Anyway again i blanked!!!!!!! Had a few knocks but think they were only chub and i know one was bream as a big shoal moved up through the river. anyway i am sure i am still missing something as still no barbel on the bank and i am sure that the main problem is i havn't found them.... (its like a treasure hunt!!!) anyway i guesss from the lack of posts in this section everyone is out fishing and not sitting wriring on the computer so is anyone else catchin???? I manged to get out to ratcliffe on monday and i was plague by chub, and eneded up getting a 5 3/4lb but no sign of any barbel. Although its going to turn into an expensive trip as my landy broke down on way home and we still dont know whats up with it
 Also hows the chub fighting on other stretches, as these fish were giving barbel like pulls but the fish werent fighting at all, found it a bit odd. ------

Went again yesterday area around cotes mill.
And although i didnt get anything on the bank in the way of barbel at least i am getting bites..... Had A single chub yesterday and at only 3lb it was still a welcome releif..... yesterday i saw another good little stretch that looked quite promising so fingers crossed i will be back out there tonight... adam And hopefully "Soon" putting my first soar barbel on the bank |

Went down cotes mill area last evening.
The river appears to be running at normal levels and with very little colour on it... Put in four sessions yesterday Thursday friday and sunday night... Think i getting there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a chub on thursday about three pound and i Had a chub out last night but at just over a pound i think the river is starting to take the P%&$ out of me!!!!!.lol I think i got the bait sussed but still not been able to locate the fish....(i can smell emmm but i cant catch em!!!) Weird but i cant even get a bite on a pellet????? anyway hows anyone else doing on this fantastic river.......(i think!!!) |

Hey adam,
Just keep at it, my dad went fishing up at ratcliffe-on-soar and manged to get two out and missed one, although he did say that the water didnt have much colour in it and it was a very sunny day, although where he was fishing i know its quite shaded there. Myself, i still aint been able to get out, my landys suppose to be going to garage today but the guys still aint came to pick it up ------

I appreciate that there might well be a bit of extra water to contend with, but seeing as how The Trent, Severn, Teme and Avon are all virtually unfishable
 I thought I might have a go on an LSAS stretch tomorrow Has anyone got any idea of conditions at present? Many thanks Roger |

Drove over the river on the way to Lincoln at 9.00am this morning on the A46 (I think! - lazy so and so these days with sat nav) and the river looked to have a good colour and was within the banks by 6 inches or so. Amazing what you take in when your local river (Teme) is completely stuffed! Not sur eif that helps or hinders - good luck any way. Cheers Les "Politness costs nothing. The soar has been fishing very well for me, so theres a good chance, although i found it took a few balls of ground bait and a feeder to encourage and draw them in, best of luck mate

I was on the soar last night and it looks perfect at the minute..
Its not got a lot of colour in it and is running at what is pretty much normal levels...although the last two months normal levels has ment 4 foot of water on it lol >) I didn't get a barbel last night but i did have a 4lb 6 oz chub had to go just as it was getting dark when the fish seemed to start feeding. anyway going to get a couple of hours in tonight so fingers crossed i may finally get one out the soar....i know there in there some where!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tight lines |

I manged to get a couple of hours in tonight and managed to get 3, fishing the soar for me is really good at the moment, ive been a total of around 9-10 hours and caught 10 barbel including two 10lb (which one of was my first barbel of the season and my new PB), i cant seem to go wrong

Last night i had another session in the swim i fished the previous night.
RESULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After a bream that i think was on steriods and hanging around with the barbel (5lb) i finally connected with a soar barbel. 8lb 4ounces!!!!!!!!!!!!! hooray ....It was in beautiful condition short in length but really wide (not like the trent fish that tend to be long and thin) and it gave me a good run for my money!!lol anyway my faith in the soar has been restored especially with catching a good sized fish as i was starting to wonder if there really were any in there... ![0]](http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/alien.gif) I finished the session off with a four pound chub and went home a very happy chappie not bad in my opinion for a three hour session!!!(compared to the 15 plus blanking sessions i have had in recent weeks on the soar!!!!lol) its good to see three fish all of a decent size coming out one swim a good indication that the river is healthy. Also to let anyone coming to fish that the soar is looking good at the minute normal level and i think a little clearer in colour compared to monday night. tight lines

WENT YESTERDAY ON A SKIVE OFF FROM WORK
SOAR 3 BARBS AND A CHUB SWIMMING AROUND UNDER A TREE STUMP SECOND SIGHTING ON THE SOAR SAME STRETCH AS LAST TIME BIGGEST LOOKED LIKE A DOUBLE DIDNT WANT TO EAT THO' its not what you've got it's how you use it
