Just looked at my diary and I was down on the 22nd, there'd been a fair bit of rain before then so I was surprised to see the river at normal summer levels. I did indeed catch what I said, no point lying about it (too old for that, nothing to prove!). All in a session from 5 'til dusk. None of the chub were monsters, smallest was  z, largest 2lb. The barbel came right at last knockings, last cast of the day as is usually the way! I'll be down the river this week so will let people know how it's looking. |

God he fishes it once and catches, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG  Think its more like i got ALL THE GEAR BUT NO IDEA  Still theres always tomorrow

2, millie you ask where your going wrong, i hope no one asks you for your unhooking skills  3, the ssh only applys if your in that club, i am not this year as yet, so if you want to know some good swims on that area, i will offer as some wont |

Fished a short session this afternoon.
Unbelievable weather  - thunder & lightning, hailstones the size of marbles and bucketing down - quite spectacular.Couldn't get past the chub last week, couldn't get past the bream today - had 11 in 3 hours, between storms, averaging about 4lb, plus a couple of chub. No barbel, but they must be feeding in these conditions. River was well up and coloured - get out there! |

So apart from the shhh club what about other sections above and below them? Have there been any of our whiskery friends reaching the bank?
I've not been yet as I am spending most of my time netting crayfish. Funny before the recent rain, I thought I had broken the back of the job, as nothing much was coming out. Suddenly with the fresh water there are hundreds again - and of all sizes. Wish the barbel would breed and grow as quick as the cray's!!! Tight lines. |

Fished the mole yesterday afternoon until last knockings. River broken the bank in a couple of places so be careful. She is very coloured at the moment with quite a bit off pace in her. Caught a couple of Chub to 4lb
z then someone put the mockers on me yet again, well done that man PS Does any of you know how to translate Polish? If not i'll post on the main board |

Brockham 1, No good news from above Brockham to date, at least this season. Early indications seem to point to humungeous crayfish and lots of small chub - something will fill the gap in the eco system; including one or two large(ish) barbel - but non that I've heard of this season. Will keep my ears to the ground though.
