Not that I have seen, just reports on the middle thread from time to time, some call it the scrapyard and some Bobs island.
I used to fish it 10 years or so ago but not these days. |

Scrapyard? Filthy, festering rat-infested rubbish tip would be a more accurate description.
English as tuppence, changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss
Havishambling, hermit-crab, tight-fist, eremite, feudal still, reactionary Rawlinson End.

It was the same at the begining of the season but if you could manage to hold bottom in the slacker water it was a run a chuck.

Hi Johnny
Just noticed your posting The section from just below the lock downstream to almost opposite the Collingham carp park is controlled by Ashfield Angling, who also have the old Coventry AA stretch at Thrumpton, plus access to Stoke Weir at Burton Joyce as well as a newly-acquired, shortish bit alongside Winthorpe Lake (plus the lake itself )opposite A1 Pits at Muskham. "Strictly members only-no day tickets" I have just renewed my membership for next season and they have very little availability for new applications but if you want further info. PM me. Cheers Roger |
