If a barbel river is a river with Barbel in it then it is a barbel river,however if a Barbel river is a river with big Barbel in it then it is a Barbel river!!
Many a time when using maggots (15 on a size 8 hook) i've sat with a swim full of feeding Barbs without so much as a twitch only to eventually wind in and find the dreaded Bullhead with hook and all out of site !
