hope to see you down there,first season after barbel on this river only 10 minutes from home but i think this rain might change my plans,all the best.

the derne at the side of the asda is flowing like mad i was oping to fish the trent this weekend i hope thats in a better state best get my flood rods out good luck everyone

I have just cancelled a camping trip to Cambridgeshire this weekend because of the forecast. Was intending fishing at Houghton Mill on the Gt. Ouse system on Saturday. Looks like we'll all be washed out. The Dearne is going like a gravy train at present

well according to flood watch, most of the middle to lower river is in the fields, so looks like it be well into next week before its fishable.

Low Barugh is in the Dearne at present.

Looks like I want be there tomorrow then!
Might have a ride out anyway I've witnessed the Dearne rise and fall very quickly, so you never know!

Went from Athersley to Town this aft....via Durkar  , only way to avoid going over the Dearne as the roads were closed at Haigh, Lower Barugh, Smithies and Hoyle Mill evidently also at 3pm the Dearne was over the road at Asda Bnud......would change your plans mate, latest from my mate is that his house is totally flooded and he lives 100yds from it Best Regards Dave |

apparently according to sources its down to about 5 foot now so easily fishable

Hello All, fished the River Dearne last night just before the thunderstorm, the river was about 2 feet up above normal summer level, plenty of chub bites but nothing else.
