Hi All , as it's close to our annual weekend on Throop , does anyone know the Beat closure dates for this year? Would really help us plan which Beat to fish each day.
Can't wait to come down again. Thanks in advance Dave. |

Re: Dorset Stour | ||

I am hoping to come down and fish the lower beat of Throop in 2wks and keep looking to see how it is fishing but there has not been a posting since the 7th. If I were an optomist this could mean every one is too busy fishing and catching or if I were a pessamist this could mean every one is catching nowt and have gone elsewhere, what is it to be?

Apparently the Stour record went yesterday, i don't know the full details but a 17lb (known fish).
Edited before the river nazis get all excited. |

Re: Dorset Stour | ||

That's made more trips to the bank recently than a Northern Rock customer..
Hugh...you might want to edit that last bit.....there may well be some Stour regulars who wont be happy about the location being given and Billy Smarts arriving by the van full. |

Hi Hugh,
don't think it's a new Stour record, is it? I've heard conflicting reports of the fishes weight, but the highest I've heard still wouldn't beat the record. Mind you, it's only a few boilies away! regards, Butdim |

Totally agree with you Ross, not called for at all. If somebody wishes to publicise a fish, they do it themselves and not someone else spouting their mouth off. This sort of thing happens far too often in my opinion.
Many congratulations to the captor. |
