I'll be there myself on the Nidd over the coming months but mainly for my shorter sessions. I'd love a double out of this river but they are still hard to come by.
Good luck to all fishing the rivers this weekend. Julian |

Julian,
There are penty of good fish in the river with doubles coming out every year. Bear in mind that a lot of stretches are very underfished (usually the ones with the longest walk). I will be there on opening day, Cheers |

Re: RIVER NIDD | ||

I know there are doubles there (I lost 1 last year which I would swear was a double) but I think its fair to say they are still not easy to come by.
On the Nidd I seem to catch a lot of 5 and 6 pounders,l hey I am not complaining because I love any sized barbel. The average size of the fish I catch on the Swale is bigger, and thats where my double came from last year. Like I say above though I am not that bothered really, if I don't get a double but catch plenty of fish all season I will be a happy man. Julian |

Morning Dan , I havent been able to look at the Nidd yet, the Ouse in York city centre is 3 foot+ NSL and rising fast , it has rained A LOT .I strongly suspect the Nidd will be carrying a fair bit of water , but as you know it goes down as fast as it comes up , which is fast . Any news I will let you know via this link and text .
Tight lines one and all |
