as of last night it was about 8" up and just couloured , but its been raining since 9 last night so more water can be expected !!!

The rain stopped around mid morning today and it will be fine this afternoon but more rain is forecast tonight and tomorrow followed by showers on Sunday.
Personally the more water in the Dane, the worse I think it fishes. I know others disagree but then I fish probably the fastest stretch with barbel in so an extra 12" makes it quite difficult. I had 3 blanks last year and one was on the 16th. It can be slow going to start with. |

there was possibly 2' on at dinnertime , but I couldn't stop to have a better look , the Weaver at Nantwich was probably the same . No matter what I will be going to Croxton tomorrow

there was at least 3' at croxton weir and very coloured . most swims were unfishable due to the debris comming down (weed , branches , one apple mac , kids football , several 5 gallon buckets and a boom to stop oil floating down ).I had one bite but that was it

was on the river yesterday afternoon and caught :-) the chub were practically hanging themselves!!

Was out all day Sat. 5 Chub & 5 Bloody Eels
 to show. Info drifting up and down the banks from anglers was not many Barbus coming out. River dropped about 5to6" whilst there and colour dropped. Looked very good for Late Sunday and today. By the way Location was Cotton Farm. Good Look to all out there.

hi guys could anyone recomend a p.a.a.s streach on the dane where i could catch a barbel or 2 ive tried p.a.a.s site to no avail(misrable t****) imnot after swim location or tips just somewhere to start im new to macclesfield area cheers tight lines carl
