RE, busy days | ||
|
Fished yesterday, managed my first barbel,small(4lb), but perfect, plus 10 bream & a chub. today was better, 3 barbel, 4lb, 6lb 6oz & 11lb 4oz, + 14bream & a pike. The river came up about 6inches this evening, heavily coloured, but no rubbish, spot on! Got this week off work, so going to give it a crack all week.
Nice to see some cracking carp and barbel getting caught, well done to all off you. tightlines peter |

Well done Peter, a hectic session then!
Did a night with Rachel again on sunday night, had one chub, 4 bream and my first barbel of the season at 12-4. Its just a shame she couldnt be bothered to get out of bed... It was on her rod again! River had risen about ten inches during the night, It was lapping at the front of our shelter by the morning! |

Well done Peter - nice catch.
And very well done Mark! 12-4 that's a nice early fish mate. Out of interest, what with all the talk about lady angleresses having that certain 'touch', did your lady touch your bait and/or cast your rod? Or did you position your boilies for her?! Either way she must have been knackered not to get out of bed for a 12lber Now that's what I call a proper night session!!!!!!!!! Cass |

Re: RE, busy days | ||

Lol Cass, her...touching my bait?! Nah! She wont get near it. It would be worse if it were maggots but I think Its a long time before I get her tying my pva bags and baiting rigs. Until then, Ill do all that and let her reel it in. She's quite happy just to come out and enjoy the scenery.
Sent the pics in to AM but as I havent given much in the way of what bait and where they were caught It doesnt look like they're going to publish them. Every pic Ive read in there was caught on Dynamite bait's this, Richworth's that, guided by so and so or caught at such and such a venue. I cant be bothered with all that balls. Just wanted to see her happy with her face in the rags. |

Try the Sunday Sport they won't care about baits and venues, just make up any old story.
Well done on a fabulous week |

RE,another busy day! | ||
|
Cracking fish mark,all the hype in the papers is just a load of bull, you could always tell porkies, just to get her piccy published!
Had a very good session today- 7 barbel-6-6,6-7,7-2,7-8,8-0,8-6,9-15, and only 5 bream. River is very coloured and running at a good pace, but very little in the way of weed etc. I expect it to rise even more before the weekend. I was going to fish on into darkness, but the prossesion of thunderstorms changed my mind(no bottle) Tightlines to you all peter |

Well done everyone on some fantastic catches from Old Father. As Keith Arthur often says the Thames has never been better. I think we will be amazed.
Wild Fish, swim free. |

SneakyPete, you have had a cracking start to the year, infact there seems to be more early barbel being caught this year than any other I can remember on here.

I am tempted to get out a couple of bigger sticks and Baitrunners and try some old and trusty swims. I reckon that my new Nitromors©® Bite Back©® Boilies will be just perfect...

Fished another favorite, neglected swim today, had to use 5oz of lead on the feeders= 1oz backleads to avoid the increasing amount of crud in the river, but well worth it. Landed 7 barbel, 5 between 3 &7lb , 10lb 2oz, 11lb 4oz,(+2 hookpulls) and a 5lb 11oz chub + 6 bream.
YEEEEHAAAA The river dropped about 3inches this afternoon, but the flow increased! Guess their trying to run it off? Drove home along some very popular bits of river at Tightlines to you all peter |
