Good luck to all of you.
The barbel were still spawning on the shallows when I was out on monday evening. Unless it comes up a lot with the rain in Wales it will be best to fish the fast water on the 16th.. Tom. |

Tom, we don't want too much rain in Wales do we? How much rain has to fall before they let the cold water flow through? Bert's stretch by the Ship at Highley allways fishes well at the start of the year, fast and low. We shall be up at Arley, some shallow fast areas but heavily populated with anglers. |

When my old man first took me fishing when I was five he couldn't have realised he was giving me a gift that would last forever. And fire my enthusiasm and imagination more with every passing year. And take me to some beautiful places. And lead me to some great people. And show me some amazing experiences. I live about 20 mins from what I consider the best barbel river in the world.
