As we have the most Northerly River in the country to contain Barbel I would love to know how you get the fish to feed in very cold water temperatures I have
tried for the last 4 year without any success and always end up fishing forChub. I have read all the books and tried the methods they suggest but still nowt ?

i dont pretend to know much about barbel fishing but a few years ago a double figure match weight of barbel came from prebends in durham on caster in mid
winter

Never mind monsters I would be thankfull for a 2 pounder at the minute. As usual the wear is proving almost imposible to crack in winter yet again.

Arghhhhhhhh ! once again the gods have decided to send us the worst weather possible I dont think the people from the south realise how lucky they are its
getting to the point that every time I have rest days from work the Rivers are goosed I am going stir crazy.
