hi all it to the final stretch to the person that cut the swims out with the wooden edging you do realise that come the first lot of rain it is all likely to wash back in the drink

Re: Medway | ||

Neil, thats a shame. I'll have to arrange a guesting some time if your up for it. Few of your fine teas for a ticket seems reasonable to me.
I do hope not too much works has taken place. I normally prefer the rough and ready rather than pre-defined wooden platforms. |

Re: Medway | ||

not quite that bad yet but some steps no platforms as yet but got a funny feeling that there coming sooner rather than later i hope not as it ruins the rough and tumble that we have all growen to love and hate

Re: Medway | ||

ye si agree go to the agm have your say but it does not mean that the powers that be will listen went up to balls green why do we keep that water in some places a forty stone man with lead wellies could jump across it just seemsa complete waste of money roll on the begining of the season when we can get on the better parts of the medway as for work parties they should make so many that are compulsary as alot of people dont bother and after all its the few that clean up everybody elses mess

Hi Mr Bankbegger and all
Afraid that I have decided to give this little river a miss this year and concentrate on the the Loddon (it owes me a double or two) and the Kennet. Time is rather precious for me at the moment so tough decisions had to be made!!!!!!!!! I enjoyed my trips last season but one decent fish in 25 sessions is not good by any stretch of the imagination -but it was good to meet some of you on the bank and to share tales of woe. Notice that I am the only one , at the moment, to have posted a venue photo on the site . Is it that you country boys don't hold with photographic imagery (captured souls and all that superstition etc!!!!!!) Good luck to you all and hope that the signs of moaning and whinging do not take over the thread All the best and good luck (you will probably need it) Ian (MrC) |

Neil , can't argue with what you say. I think there's a party this weekend but it does clash with something for me so I'll have forfeit my £3.
Ian I've a a few pictures to post but need access to a scanner. I'm not sure the quality would be acceptable in these days of top notch digitals. best of luck on the Loddon. I actually moved my fishing full time onto the Medway from The Wey for an easier life last year. Just shows how all things are relative. |

Re: River Medway | ||

Mr.C and Neil sorry to hear that you wont be gracing the banks of Fortress Fordcombe this season thogh I have a sneaky suspicion that the old girl has,nt seen the last of you. I hope not anyway.
Mr.C I would post some pictures but my box Brownie is not compatible! I hope you will both still post on here to let us know how your respective ventures are going.Rumour has it that Mr Goose is not comming back either I hope I,m wrong .Could this be a repeat of the mass exodus that occured in the late nineties? As for Balls Green it may look insignifigant but there are certainly some good fish to be had with the right approach. Right thats enougth of the waffle role on the glorious 16th and good luck to one and all. Cheers Bankbeggar. |
