with all this flooding & rivers like a raging torrent, cars under water, services pushed to the limit's, everyone be careful where they fish, make sure you know the area on which you fish & let family know where your going, i've heard of some news about anglers getting caught out & were lucky, everyone to there own,but just be careful, are barbel worth the risk? j

If you have the time to go fishing in this then think about contacting the Red Cross instead and volenteer your help.
To me it seems just a tiny bit bad taste to go fishing this week (if you live in the midlands) |

2 roach, 4 barbs and a ford focus i believe, couldnt believe how much it has risen when i went this morning, only had an hour on the bank then it rained so thought id get out whilst i could!!

Amazing photo of the two old men in deckchairs fishing, ''Nice out isn't it?". As Morecombe and Wise used to say. But I echo the sympathy already expressed to all those affected by the terrible floods.
It does look a promising swim tho'. When all the water is back in the rivers where will the barbel be? Here in the upper Medway valley we are fortunate so far but will be checking it out today. Fortunately the farmers had baled the silage the day before the rains came and some had made hay but I don't know how good it would be. |
