ref the okuma free spool reel, I think it was their IBF30 model. any body used one of these, are they up to the job when you get an angry boris pulling your string?

Hello,
I've got an EPB30, the Epix Pro baitfeeder and not had any probs so far. Drag seems to be reasonably smooth. Not used the baitfeeder much, but not had any probs with it sticking. Nick. |

Hi,following what was a reasonable review on this site a couple of years back,i went and got both an IBF30 & IBF40.Must say in what can only be termed use& abuse both work perfect with no problems so far!

I use okumas in bot size 30 and 40 and have never had a problem with either of them.

Hi, i used an IBF40 last year and this,worked ok for me caught a few doubles,had no problems with line or braid,and for £30 your can't beat them.

Really good value I have four, three bought and one for free.
They balance my barbel rods really well, holding approx 90 yards of 12lb line. My typical swims mean you don't need to cast far and hence they are ideal. Can still cast 60 yards if needed. Perfect operation so far (two yuears) although I had a slight issue with the return bail arm spring of one of them, the mail order shop didn't want it back and just sent me another. I still use the 'faulty' one as the problem was minor. The only time I don't like them is if I am spinning or doing lots of winding. You then feel the difference between something with 8+ BBs as opposed to a couple. Chris |

The extra few quid for the Epix Pro is well worth spending. I use the 30 size for roving and the 40 size for heavy lead and feeder work. Excellent!

I have the IBF30 and are very happy with them , very compact reel and nice to use , superb value for money .

 Ive the 30 for my 10 ft rod...no probs with also have the bigger 40s and the baitrunners for my piking... Why bother with anything else...great value theres some crackin reels out there l aint spending over the limit for rods or reels... |
