Posts: 1854 (10/02/07 00:15) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None Thought I'd ask for some advice on a waistcoat for roving/rolling. I know you can buy fly vest/fishing waistcoats and outdoor gilet type tops. I'm interested to know what people use, especially for the roving/rolling approach. I went to look on Ray's site, but it still wouldn't load. I think my main criteria are: 1) Good storage and function 2) Nothing too garish for colour 3) Probably waterproof breathable, so it would function with layers. Any ideas? Ken

He had it from Decathelon of all places, they do a really short one and a normal length one . He had the normal one and its got loads of storage for about £15

I've used the fox one in the past but now use one from cabelas in america. I use mine all year round and it carries everything i need including my reuben heaton scales and an SLR camara. Once you've scaled down your gear a bit you'll wonder why you ever needed a rucksack/holdall. Belt round your waist,rod in one hand and net in the other.

Greys GTRX, Shimano Tribal, Masterline, other fly types and so on. I know Ray favours the Fox bum bag, if it's still done I'm not sure. One thing I would recommend and this is more of a personal choice for myself as I like to be organised, jump from swim to swim and be comfortable and it's the Fox Evolution Rig and Bait carryall. It's organised on the top what with rig wallets to house all you're essentials. Inside the main compartment it's segregated and has two insulated pockets to keep you're bait fresh and it's also very comfortable to swing over you're shoulder and jump to the next swim you have in mind. www.foxint.com/ I have the carp one as the specialist is a little too small for my liking.
