The thing I've never been all that confident with is where your free offerings end up when using a feeder. I always imagine them to be being carried downstream and out of the swim, and it's no good keep casting further and further downstream to catch up. Simlar with the method feeder. Having to put such a large amount of mix around the feeder it splashes like a brick being thrown in, which I'm not comfortable with. Also I don't feel confident when I get a bite that it's the hook bait and not the feeder mix being taken. So, what I intend to try in the new season is winter type tactics in the summer. If (and I suppose it's quite a big if) it works, then I shall certainly feel far more confident in as much that my presentation will be better, there will be far less disturbance to the swim and the scent/taste trail will lead directley to my hook bait. That's my thoughts for what there worth anyhow..Sorry to post a fishing type thread
Kindest..Jim...
