Hiya thedaftmen,
Welcome to BFW, not many people look on the 'basics' board which is probably why nobody replied. I'm sure somebody will help you on here Cheers Paul |

Daft, I have seen a number of episodes of ''Ello ''Ello so I am I suppose a bit of an authority on the French. I must say I have doubts as to your authenticity:However if I am proved to be wrong I will gladly offer you a days fishing on one my local rivers in the hope you will aquaint yourself with an English barbel.
Just p.m me your details |

Who did you think it was Leo? Someone from here who was currently over in France, perhaps on a ski-ing holiday, setting up a fake tiscali.fr account and spending all his time trolling on t'internet 'cos there's no snow? Now that would be just ridiculous

Well stranger things have 'appened Mark, anyway it was all ''tongue in cheek'' you know
I have emailed Daftmen and offered to extend the Anglo French cordial with an offer of fishing for the barbel in my local rivers. Poor chap |

Intend to go camping to france this year and yes the chance of French 'Barbelling' had crossed my mind.
Will do a bit of looking around on t'internet as a lets just see project. I think we are going to camp and travel around Brittany, anybody know about the simple things like fishing licences etc. |

I fished the dordogne last summer for barbel and found them very obliging up all up to 3lb not many over. Went over with the family so fishing was limited to first light even so managed 15 to 20 in a couple of hours each day. All on the pellet.

1. It's always vital to remember to drive on the left! This can be easily forgotten especially in the morning when you've just woken up. A sign sellotaped to your dashboard is a good idea.
