Been looking for some new fishing trousers - not overtrousers or thermal trousers but plain old fishing trousers.
My spec was:
Polycotton for quick drying, bit of water repellancy and help in staying clean (100% cotton is poor in all three issues)
Belt loops so I've something to attach my thigh wader straps too.
Double fabric at seat and knee
Some zipped pockets
Just about smart enough to go straight to the pub from the river (not on their own obviously!)
Had a look round and liked the Snowbee fishing trousers but a bit pricey at £36 and couldn't find them locally to try. Wandering around Bakewell today and came across Craghoppers Kiwi Classic hiking trousers. Top dog - did all the above and reduced by a tenner to £25 all in a nice smart vine (dark green) colour (other colour options available - this thread gets better and better!). Craghoppers is a top hiking make and they're really well made so I'm well made up with my buy!
Note they also do a zip off and a lower waist cargo version so make sure you get the Kiwi Classic if you want to be as happy as me!
Got mine from Peakstore but I now see Go Outdoors are doing the same offer.
Hey - it ain't the Barbel Society imploding and it sure as heck ain't the Traveller hitting the same guys net again (and again!) it's just plain old fishing trousers!
You know how much I like them? I'm wearing them now!
With luv
Kev the Trouser
