Berkley do a good 50lb model. Bought mine in the states but you can get them on ebay for about £20 - mine are as accurate as my friends Fox's.

I've got a set of those 50lb berkelys,i didn't trust them so i bought myself a set of dial reubens.I compared the two,at about 15lb the berkelys were spot on but for some reason at around the 10lb mark and below they were 8oz under, tested my mates berkeleys and they were pretty similar!Very odd!Don't think you can beat a good old set of dial scales,at least you know the batteries won't have run out when you go to weigh that P.B! |

I've tested my Berkley's at work with calibrated weights. I am more than happy with them as they weigh exact to the nearest gram. The weights at work
are for strain gauge analysis - the strain gauges are accurate to within 0.0001 of a gram. The Berkelys read to the nearest gram. I paid 15 dollars for mine
a couple of years ago in Bass Pro, Orlando.

I too have a set of fox digitals. When they work, they're great. However, my first set went wrong and i returned them to Fox for repair.
Whilst at Fox, they were lost, so they sent me out a new set. 18 months later, this new set again went wrong, so i returned them to Fox for repair. I had them
returned as repaired, only to discover that the fault was still present. I again sent them back, and once again i've received them back 'fixed'
only to discover that they still do not work. I've been without them for 6 months now.

I like my JRC's (reuben heatons really) and they don't need batteries. The reason i say this is that when the time comes for me to weight the fish of a
life time and then i find the batteries are flat. I have no doubt that digitals are fine, but its just another thing to remember to check.
It was this BIG
