Doesn't make people 'sad gits' for pointing out that Dorking have a publicity ban. Some people got into trouble with the club posting catch reports
on here a few seasons ago.
Good to talk about 'how your season is going', report on river conditions, whether it's fishing well etc. Saying I caught this, that and the other from the North Bank isn't quite so clever. |

It was just light teasing about the 01.23 quip.Most love gods would have better things to do at 01.23 in the morning than post on the internet.As I have posted before we all have different opinions of posting up catch reports on here.Some agree some obviously do not. I see though you went back and edited your first post about Dorkings waters also the recent photo in the gallery has been removed.If anglers who fish the Mole want to post up catch reports I will say no more on the subject.But many who do not post on here have my view and I guess many also have yours?Free world but have you not noticed how much busier all three Mole clubs have got over the last few years? I wish you well in your angling this season.River today is just a little bit up on summer levels,but carrying some colour.Now I must get set for a return to work tomorrow,always a deep joy. The reason the river is busier is because of 'Day Ticket' and young kids wanting to catch a double figured barbel not because of anglers talking to
each other. I love the mole and have fished it for 25 years and will defend to anyone.

The river looks good today. Hell of a lot of fallen trees and new snags all over the place but it still fishes well with new hiding places for the big fish.
It really is a shame the way some of the swims were cut back so much in the closed season. I guess they wanted to cut it back to a degree that would last a long time. Air pressure is creeping up again (1012) so get out there before it's mega high again like it was three weeks ago at 1025 as it makes the big fish feed late night when we've all gone home although saying that if you fish small baits trotted near snags you can always pick up a surprise big fish just before dusk. That's one of the things I love about river fishing Mark - continually changing features/holding spots etc.
On my first trip this season my intention was to fish a couple of my favourite swims, but when I got there they had completely changed - fallen trees had dissappeared, overhanging branches cut-back etc. However, after the initial dissapointment, I found a couple of places with lots of new features and concentrated on them - unfortunately they turned out to be full of bream. 
Keeps it interesting though. Thanks for the report - keep 'em coming. Happy fishing

Nice seeing u the other day daryl, had a couple of small ones out the next day, but the river rose to almost breaking the banks, couldn't keep out in the flow for more than 10mins before i got weeded out. never mind thats the avon for u

Not fished the Mole for barbs yet this season, lots of other places to visit, contray to what some might think

Hello chaps, newboy on this site. Anybody here with CCAC.on the Mole at Cobham? Not really fished it for Barbel before but have landed a few in the past.
Fishing for them now and can't catch any! Trying to get a realistic idea of how many there are in there. Any ideas?
