sounds a bit like you got in with the fish, well done if so. I think next month when I move down to the Kennet I'll miss the Taff, but not the circus. |

pity the river is getting another dose today
last year i loved it, this year i want to fish low waters for a change i'm fed up with the jammies, tammys, baby wipes, condoms, bog roll and the vast amounts of weed coming down and im fed up with 6oz leads and heavy tackle also im fed up with not being able to observe my quarry rant over...........almost Bloody rain!!! rant over

Had an 8.4lb fish at gabalfa yesterday. On a good note me and about 8 other glamorgan anglers went to gabalfa today and had a clean up of the river and banks.
On the 30th july we are having another 1 in witch the E A are going to help

I went for a walk to take some pics on the river today and got chatting to a guy who was "having a go with a tin of spam" after about ten mins the rod went and and he was hooked into his first ever barbel. there was a lot of panic and excitement and ten mins later I netted a beauty of about 11lb for him . He was over the moon and a couple of photos later the fish made its way back into the current. Well done Rob I got itchy feet now and will be getting the rods back out of the loft after my year out of fishing. The first one is always magic ! |

Hi All
Well done Rob on your first Taff Barbel,fished after you went with my eight year old daughter,she asked me could she come fishing with me,set her up with a rod and reel and with her first bite the reel screamed off and she was in to her first barbel after about 15 mins it came to the net a Taff Double 11lb 6oz ,she's hooked wants to go next time I go lol well done Millie,had a boris myself 12lb 0oz ,a great evening fishing,the only disapointment battery flat on phone no photo off my daughters first barbel Gutted
