There like vampires Bill,they hate sunlight,they will very rarely feed in heavily coloured water but they are night feeders and don't feed using sight.
Bloody as hell Liver,Squid and Deadbaits are the way to go but you need to add extra smell/scent to your deadbaits especially in a river to draw them to your
hookbait.
Bed of Halibuts and Liver/Squid/Deadbait over the top is a good method.
