I noticed them first on the TFW site, thought is was just silly juveniles messing about.

With the change over to the YUK [!] system BFW has gone from one of the better sites to now the beginning of the end as people will drop off due to
commercialism. Its a very sad day for BFW. I hope those in authority can do something about it, however I do fear for the future.......

i beleave it maybe a yuku falt ,non-gold status forums have the adverts ,and from what i can sumise this is a gold status site ,thanks to generous members who
donated funds too the community chest/coffers .too give at least a years adfree gold status ,so either we have exceaded the allotted number of page views
(thats how the quota 's are worked out) of 360 000 odd ,or the yuku zx80 that keeps check / moniters sites has thrown a wobbly & burnt out its 16k of
memory and forgotten this site's gold status / add free and has imposed the adverts.
I'm sure either yuku will sort it quick or andy will read them the riot act threatening too send half a dozen hairy assed barbel anglers around to pummell their zx80 with 4oz leads till it bleads. (Ps i'm lucky .as i don't see them ,i've my own ad free status going on and can only imagine how annoying it must be for you all ,)

Well, it might be a BFW problem in that if it loses 'friends' then so does Yuku. For 'friends' read customers. Let us avoid the temptation of saying 'ok, well we'll have to pay if we don't want adverts..................' Bed. Mike W

Good Grief.
When trying to access BFW the other day I was unsuccessful as the legend ' New software being installed' appeared. I imagine that these hideous adverts were the cause. I have yet to understand why we moved to the mad world of Yuku. "Alas poor BFW I knew him well!" Hugo |

I don't see them either Bgit.
However, I could understand if the founders of the site did want to try and make some money for all their hard work by introducing ads. Agree though, I am sure they would not have put porn or any offensive ads on the site on purpose. Edit: Interesting, I didn't attach that ad on the right when I posted the message.

I never used to seee these adverts but this morning I was not logged in for some reason. After I logged in and read about the ads I notice that they were all
over the place.
Would logging in have set them off? |

AS Bob said, some of us are "Yuku Supporters" (like Chavender, with ad-free status - only $12 US per year) and as such we don't get ads on any Yuku board we visit, so this sort of thing is not noticed. Basically 'the system' thinks the money has run out - it's being looked into. Keep calm folks paul4
