fished three seperate stretches and numerous swims today for two Chub, best might of gone 3lb`s, found it to be very difficult going yet i thought the river
looked really good and really fancied my chances,
wish i had taken the float rod instead, |

No day tickets. Most popular card for Barbel is Bay Malton.

I have had a few barbel from that stretch nothing bigger than 6 pound but you would have to know the swims to have any chance. I bit the Bay Malton bullet and joined but its double bubble first year I think it would probably cost £90.00 this year for the first year. But even at £90 its better than a tenner for a water that isn't that good. Also BM have a lot of other waters available on thier book. |

Fished last week, the river was running low but did have a touch of colour, I managed a couple of nice chub one over 4 pound on the stick, my mate had a decent
barbel 7-8 pound.

Vek - we had a similar debate this time last year with the same conclusion, as bm are no dominating the stretches around the m6 j18 then its a good bet - not
sue if they still run robinson s meadow stretch in n'wich - i'll check my card. bm are increasing their fees year on year so get in now if you decide
to do it, you can join via the website too. otherwise try lymm who have a couple of dane streches, 1 good barbel bit -but also a couple of severn stretches,
both clubs ask fo double fees for year 1, lymm is 2 x 60 at the moment. i think bm is 2 x 44

eels on the Dane plus dane Pb | ||

Fished the Lymm stretch on two occasions and caught eels to nearly 3lb. is anyone else catching eels. Also had a barbel of 8 lb 4oz. But the decent chub have
stayed away

Lower Dane has a few Eels (had one on opening week). Also can think of one particular swim on the middle river which has a reputation for Eels. I also bailiff
a lake very close to the Dane, which has done some large Eels.

Had some fairly big Eel's (2-3lb) from the cotton length, usually when trundling large bunches of Lobworms in flood conditions. Back on the subject of
Barbel, i have been on the river 3 times so far this season and have managed 6 barbel in total, biggest was an immaculate 9lb2oz!, lots of above average sized
chub as well, the biggest surprise i have had though is the amount of Grayling i have caught whilst legering, until this season i had never caught a Grayling
on the Dane but i've had at least 8 so far this season!

fished for a couple of hours Monday evening, had my youngest with me, just knew the tip was going to pull round..and pull round it did
played her slow and then passed the rod to the lad as she tired, he then
nervously did the honours whilst i was netsman, a beautiful Barbel of 8.04, not truly his fish i know but what a start for him, absolutely made up
fished, on my own, last night (Weds) for a few hours and had a couple out and also a very nice Chevin 4lb+ on freelined bread through a channel in the streamer weed, very enjoyable, |

I fished on Monday evening for a couple of hours trotting, didn't get a bite. I was on CHF as I didn't fancy the walk to manor. I noticed sirens going
off on the M6 for about 10 minutes then suddenly absolute silence. Got in the car at 9 and guess what, M6 closed, like you it took me nearly an hour to do a 35
minute trip.
