Mr Bracey,
I never called you any names you presume to much,A quick glance through the Ribble photo gallery and there are quite a few photo's of fish and supposed anglers which you have posted  , some of these individuals I
personally have asked to leave private club stretch's,and I have had to clear up there mess on many occasions, hence I take offence at your comments about
pa waters

The stretch of river i fish is always clean and tidy, the only crud being what gets left behind in the floods. As for poaching etc. its rare to see another
course fisherman on the bank, plenty of salmon anglers tho, nice bunch, one put me onto a really good swim. |

Elston.
Low,quite clear .Temp 18.5. Couldn't belive what i saw in my swim, and didn't have enough arms left to carry it back to bin it. A brolly frame. I was looking forward to an evening sesh but my reel goosed up.so home it was,Oh and another blank |

first session on the Ribble this season..today, had intended to go to the Severn untill i was talked into giving a lift to Morcambe, dropped on the river not
long after first light, had a fish first chuck of say 6+ another an hour or so later that might of gone 7lb`s, not another touch after so when the thunder and
lightening started to kick in this afternoon i decided to call it a day, though the river looked and even smelled a bit stale
 i was quite pleased to be back on

I was on last night and was very busy for a Wednesday evening. River was low and not much sign of any more streamer weed. I didn't catch anything myself,
but the stretches upstream from the bridge are producing fish on the stick float to maggot.
Is the bait of preference pellet or meat/hemp when fishing the tip? |

they will take either fella, yet, for the more consistant sport and regardless of the river then the humble pellet, fed lightly, tends to do the trick

Fished Friday morning, had 2 nice barbel and a very very small Chub. Getting bites all day so it looks like the fishing is picking up.

Fished yesterday 4 to 12pm.Very slow going all day until just after 11 when I had my first double figure barbel of the season at bang on 10 Ib's.Strange
because my mate caught one at 7Ib 4 at exactly the same time.Then just as I was about to go I hooked into another one which snagged me up after I had been
playing it for a few minutes.I am pretty sure it was a big carp because it was just a solid dead weight.I was fishing a part of the river I was unfamiliar with
regarding possible snags/obstructions but still I absolutely hate it when this happens because I can't help but feel bad for the fish with my hook in its
gob.Still it snapped right next to the hook which is perhaps not as bad.I have caught countless fish which have had other people's hooks and terminal
tackle hanging out of their mouths which I have duly removed so I know it doesn't affect them as regards feeding.

I also fished Friday morning 7am till 4 ,managed a 4 lb 9 oz Barbel and at the same time my other rod went and had a 1 lb 1 oz Roach, i needed 2 pairs of
hands as i had never caught at Elston before and on my 3 rd trip two fish turn up at the same time,finished the session with a 1 lb 9 oz Roach .

there is some cracking roach being caught all along the lower stretches at the moment. I had a walk along the prince albert stretch opp TT during the close
season and saw countless large roach flashing amongst the slate gullies

I was on day on Saturday from 1300 til 2300 and the water rose about 1/2 a foot. The river was very clear and desperately needs some extra water. Fished
2x8mm hallibut with 4mm hallibut as feed and caught 8lb 1oz barbel about 2045. No bites all day except for the one that had this fish in the net.

went on for few hours again 2night river up about 2 foot and rising loads of weed couple of bites and lost a good fish then nowt

your right there andy its something ive been looking into!
lthough you cant just revolve your fishing round moon phases im comparing times. i had a few fish the other day and i said to my mate that 1.50 was the time and i was into fish in and around that period |
