Short session this evening, 1 Barbel around 6lb and 2 Chub.
Mr Hill, may I remind you that your son decided to fish with me because it was actually his dad that kept casting in the trees. A bit much when your personal angling skills are so bad that your offspring turn to others for guidance!!!

Oh dear Mr Crook. It does seem you have a very selective memory.
Either that or lack of sleep the night before.

John Cook,
Thanks for the compliment but I can assure you that it was a "flash in the pan". Back to blanking now. I'm much more used to that. Phil |

John, think you must be referring to Mr Dave Durrant, he blanked as well.
Next time I will say hello myself, didn't realise it was you until Dave told me he had met you on the Colne previously. Best regards Phil |

Finally made it the to river after work yesterday - it was in absolutely beautiful condition - banks overgrown, some colour in the water. Managed a 3lber odd -
but again with tail-fin rot? + some chublets. Some other little'uns coming out. Very cold as the sun went down. Banks quiet - great to be back!
Regards Paul. |

Hi all, managed to get out for a short after-work seession on Monday and managed about a 6lber. Agree with The Lurker - river looked bang on, just a shame only
one barb graced my net!

River was carrying a little bit of colour yesterday.
Fished through the night and at dusk had a 5lb 8oz barbel on a lobworm fished under a quill float. Great fight and have a new respect for the float rod. Managed another 4 barbel to just over 9lb and 4 chub. Knackered! cheers, simon |

Out again last night - one car in the car park and no-one around?! River not up at all from last week despite recent rain. Another lovely evening, remaining
warm after sun set. Two barbel - around 5lb and 7.5 lb - the latter with tail fin rot...the former fighting furiously! Hope to be out again tonight!
Regards Paul. |

The "new to me" bit of the Loddon is being kind and had a wonderful day last Friday ................5 barbs, 6 great big snotty bream and a dozen
chub . Trotting sorted the chub even hooked (and lost)a barbel. Chub were of a high average (three at 5+) roll on the Autumn.

Snuck out again last night - car park now packed! Does no-one fish on Mondays? River in fine condition, somewhat heavy atmosphere until around 12:30 when the
sky cleared and temperature dropped. Saw a creature enter the river on the far bank that looked like a large mink - but was brown in colour...are all mink
black?
Great mixed bag - 1lb 12oz roach, 5lb5oz chub and a 7lb12oz pristine barbel that looked and fought a lot bigger...great sport! Regards Paul. |

2 More Barbel and a snotty yesterday afternoon, good Barbel lost as well, could not persuade her to turn upstream, did not want to let her run any further
downstream, hooked her near far bank, 20 yards below my position, pressure told and hooklink parted near the hook, gutted!!!

Told you not to use that hook link material
