Sorry lads just felt a little cranky stuck in doors when i should have been fishing .. Them funny ++# ends are from the local youths i fished last friday and
there must have been 10 plus smoking and drinking under the tree 1st peg you come to where the little inlet comes into the river .

Where have all the fish gone? Went on Sunday was there from 5am - 2pm - not a tickle - not even interest from the chub, moved swims 3 times - the river
seemed dead. Anyone else do any better ?

Hi all,fished last nightfish went mental,landed 20 barbel.Only one above 9 pound,all the rest 4to 8 pounders.This was from a stretch that i hardly see any one
on yet many of the fish had hook marks in there mouths,best keep my eyes open some one else i about
 The fish were still having it when i left but i was all barbelled out.Makes you
think 39 fish landed in first 3 sessions this season,not a double yet,there ain 't that many out there.Bye for now SCOOT

glad it wasn't anglers making the spliffy mess. And you are right theres nothing wrong with a toke or two I was just annoyed to see such a mess.
How are you Mr Flook long time no see. I have actually got a NAA ticket this year and plan to have a few trips up there when I get a mind too. I did fish in the field by the church for a couple of hours last week and didn't get a sniff. Been fishing far and wide for the past few years but just fancied a bit of the Wye for a change. Just had Scoot on the phone hes up there again but in a different swim and doing it again. Funny thing is hes catching all these pesky barbel and hes really
after a big fat carp
Still, I had 7 fish this morn myself, all doubles and 3 over 14lb !!! Ok yes they were smoothhounds

One of the reasons I bought a NAA ticket is because I wanted to fish at Llandogo and see what occurs.
On purchasing the ticket I discovered this stretch is no longer on the ticket, does anybody know who runs this section nowadays or is it a matter of turn up and fish? |

Be careful fishing for Dace and Chub Lester, EA byelaws on using maggots at this time of year...check the controlling club for whether they have special dispensation. |

Hi all, any information on the wye at Hereford? I fished the stretch by the tennis courts on Monday and caught 7, it was a great day as these were my first Wye
Barbel although they only went to 4lb. I'm hoping to give it another go this coming monday and would be grateful if someone could put me onto some bigger
fish on the Hereford and district angling association water.

I've just read through this whole thread and I've got to ask (tongue in cheek ) if some of you could perhaps be related to me in some way, there are some seriously miserable individuals on this site.lol I'm thinking of
changing my user name to Victor Meldrew I should fit in just fine.lol
On a serious note, I've been offered by a member who fishes the Bibs to have a day with him, although you lot make it sound like the pits, I live on the banks of the wye and already I'm wondering if it's going to be worth the effort of going up there? Thing is though, my pb Barbel is only 6lb 8oz and I'm sworn to beat it this year, so I've got to go where the bigger fish are!
