 Had 7 fish last night up to 11.04, was one of those nights that you know you could catch all night if you wanted to.

Morning all
Out yesterday afternoon and evening, kicked my season off with 3 barbel to 7.2 and lost 1 that fought like trojan, over the moon with that, also managed numerous chub to 4lb. all in all a very good day. good luck to you all for the weekend. Des |

Out the weekend and managed first double of season at 11.04 so pleased with that, also one around the 8 mark...

Well seems like a some of you are getting a few and as always Kev you seem to be doing good so keep it going .. Well was away in Spain last week and blinding
place the Ebro was had nice
catfish to 82lb new pb and carp to 28lb new pb and 2 of 22lb and one for 18lb me bro had best cat of 113lb jammy git.. They fight
like stink pulling ya all over the place so booking up for another week next year as it was great ..
Well out for the first time this season today for 6 hours and had good start had 5 barbel and lost 2 as well so could of
been Severn but the snag got me twice so bugger but not bad start for first day out well chuffed ..

out last night lots of fish topping looked as if the night was mine, but to my surprise when it went dark the river just died of deaf not one bit!

Hi Emmalee! If you fill in your profile so we all know a bit about you,you may find help will be more forthcoming.
If it were me I'd start at the beginning.Swims near the weir might be a good area to try
first....Lots of water to cover at Avoncliff...Good Luck...Hope you manage a fish or two!!!

Just got back after an evening session,got a decent chubb,small carp to just under double figures and a barbel of 9.4lb,gutted in a way,was sure it was going
to be a double,looked much heavier than it weighed,must be my dodgy scales.....lol

Just under two full seasons into my barbel fishing career, the score was somewhere around the 25 mark, without a single double! The law of averages says one or two of them should have been over a tenner. So, like the gullible fool I am, I got myself an I-Power. Andy gave me the sales pitch, telling me that normally when you get of one of these, you get a PB first time out. How corny is that? He lied. Blanked at Avoncliff the first time out. Not even a chubby knock, so I thought about demanding a refund. Tried again on Sunday. Massive whack after less than an hour. My scales made this 10-11. Another bloke made it 10-7. I'll split the difference and call it 10-9. This is spooky. Is Andy a witch? ;-) The I-power was awesome, by the way. And I'm seriously chuffed.

Hi folks. I'm moving down to sunny Brizzle in August and I'll be looking to fish the BA. I've looked at a couple of clubs (Bathampton and Bristol
Amalgamation) and I'm wondering which to join? Or if there are some smaller quieter club or syndicate stretches around I'd be interested. Many thanks.

Although it sounds ridiculous you'd be amazed at how many people get in touch after just a couple of trips with a new rod having just caught a new PB. It usually works the opposite with me though! Andy F

Amalgamated Fisheries have plenty of BA water to have a crack at,think there are other clubs around bath,but I've stuck with them,£45 for a year but it can
get busy on the bank....
Give some tackle shops a bell in the bath/brizzle area,they'll know contact details..... |
