Nice one Steve, good advice on the above two posts. Decided to 'do' the Tidal Trent once a month this season, had 5 first time out last Weds, mainly small, but a slight increase on trent pb with the biggest at 9-1 well away from any weir/ bridge circus's

I first saw it on Fishing Magic a couple of years ago, when you tried to make Mick Wood out to be a liar. Why would I want to deny myself a source of such amusement? As for the van Nistelrooy comment (note the correct spelling), I'm flattered that you take such an interest in someone that you don't know from Adam. Interestingly enough, you've obviously been at a few functions recently where I've been present. I wouldn't recognise you, anymore than I would most people on here, but you obviously do me. Strange that you've not quite had the courage of your convictions in person that you do when sat behind a keyboard. I'd be quite interested to know who the "we" is that you refer to as well. Anyway, Ruud's get way more hair than I have, and if not for the fact that he played for that lot on t'other side of t'ill, I might even take it as a compliment. Keep posting sunshine, I need the laugh's.

Posts: 6 (26/06/08 23:10) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	hi everyone, done a day and a night at besthorpe i had eels and more eels on meat and pellet 15mm pellet would be knocked off in 15 mins they were on the meat in mins.my mate fishing corn had 1 small bream and a barble about 1lb.we put about a gallon of hemp and tares in and sat on it .i think we just sat in the wrong swims as others were catching say 400yds away up and down river.have any one else come across this ? we never had a touch in the light. could anyone suggest an alternative bait targeting barble please ? regards pete.

Alot use them maggot clips and 'medusa' rigs bit fiddly for my liking, I just thread a load onto a size 8. Spiros & Mike, this is an open site for all to view, nobody needs to contribute if they don't want to, I bet there are far more people nameless gleaning alot more info than Rob, and contributing less- R kid for one. Rob, think Spiros was just starting out on the trail of Wharfe barbel, when he made his coments on FM, I made silly coments here and elsewhere myself, after all we all start somewhere, you can't hold it against him forever! Howhether he does claim to be a York city fan.

I know I posted a fair amount of rubbish for the world to see, as we all probably have at some point or other. Not so sure I'd have continued the arguement when a decent amount of respected anglers were telling me I was wrong mind, but no point dwelling on that. As for the York City bit, could be worse I suppose. Hope to meet you on the bank at some point.

As for bait I always go for the pellets and(gonna jinx myself here) normally manage barbel or bream, not huge amounts of fish but usually one or two. Cheers, Billy
