had two barbel last night on dinsdale stretch 1 bout 6 - 6 n a half pound and one bot a pound bigger.

I've had 3 short sessions at Neasham this week and never had a bite. I found a real good looking swim to try my luck but I found out last night that
I'm sharing it with one of the biggest Otter's I have ever seen!

The Badger kicked off his season with a fish of 7lb 7oz. The fish had a damaged tail (will help with future identification) - probably the work of an otter as
I know they are present in that section of the river. Will post a picture on the gallery.

the badger not the only one that had luck i had a 4lb chub and a 9lb pristine conditioned barbel,
plenty of rain forcast for the next few days get out and fill ye boots lads. |

had a match at dinsdale stretch 2day my dad had a barbel of 8 pound 14oz on the other strecth someone had one of 11 pound 6 oz

Out Tuesday after work. Popped in Tesco's today to get my youngest a torch for cubs camp, found a great led headlamp with a 2 & 4 function white LED
and 3 red LED lamp. Go for the bike headlamp one as it has a swivel joint on and is comfortable as I tried mine on, all for the grand price if £8.
Going to fish a five till 11pm session on Tuesday see if I can break my duck. |

Have had mjor problems with my PC over the past month or so and have been unable to post until now. Had a virus on the system that just made files and the web
lock up, or take forever to load then crash when they did, but all is well again.
Went out opening day for a few hours 3pm till 9pm, but had nothing, went out again last Friday night and managed two chub, but around 10pm had two otters playing and calling around 60 yards downstream, they kept comming up and down past me in the dark so that paid to any chance of getting a fish out, it went dead, so packed up at 1:30am. Out again this weekend for another go, see what happens. JonnyB |

river is up a few ft had a session yesterday lost 1 barbel and landed another of 6half pound,
also seen pikehunter who had one also not sure what size, tho it seems to me this season is fishing better then last out again tomorrow for an evening session,tightlines all |

what club owns the dinsdale stretch and the hurworth stretch?
my first season and had one one trip to the free stretch at neasham, had one bite missed it. so packed up and left, any info would be useful. cheers woody |

You need to join Thornaby to fish the Hurworth stretch,that will give you access to Teeside Association who have the water below the tollbridge at Dinsdale.

Bad news Woody, I'm a member of Thornaby and I believe they have just closed new membership applications for this year but you can submit one and see how
you get on. Listed the link below have a look.
http://www.thornaby-angling-association.co.uk Association also has a section above the toll bridge on the inside bank downstream were the wodd is behind the Hollies but not all the way down to the toll bridge.

Yer quite right there is another bit above the tollbridge but unfortunately its treacherous now as much of the path has fell away.Its very shallow water and
only has two decent bits on it but if you dont know where your going you dont want to be walking it on your own.

Jonny, I hear that there is some very good antivirus software available in reputable stores such as PC World that will solve the problems that you're
experiencing. Alternatively, another option would be to stop looking at porn on the internet and get out fishing!
